Thanks for answering, I have been experimenting with the settings and I
have installed SpecLab by emulating Win ME (or NT4 or WIN98). My first
try was XP, then Win2000 but when I tried Win98 it worked, BUT then I
couldn't install the chess program Arena (www.playwitharena.com) it
needed at least ME. So I have settled on NT4 as it seems to work for
both. I do have problems with Winecfg, if I try to use the XP or
Win2000 settings I loose winecfg, can't be started again unless I
delete the .wine folder.
I can also confirm a suggestion you did in a previous post, the Audio
settings in winecfg will not work unless you delete winearts.drv.so.
BTW, I have Wine 0.9.20 with Kubuntu Dapper. AMD 2600+, 1 Gb, ATI
Radeon 9250 with ATI driver.
