sorry to come in late on this, but had exactly the same problem --
except I normally use the nv drivers with xinerama and recently
switched to nvidia.  the problem does not manifest with nv+xinerama for
any versions tested, and has gone away with wine 0.9.26 + nvidia
drivers 1.0.9631.
