Well now, that's an interesting point.  All the fonts - both those that do 
display the "sample font AaBbCc..." stuff in the font selection box and those 
that don't are all held in a common /share/fonts directory used by Windows 
machines via Samba and OpenOffice and the GIMP in Linux.  Some are seen by 
DavkaWriter and some are not.
