You could fake that internet explorer 6 is installed, by first running
this script:

cat >> $HOME/.wine/system.reg <<"_EOF_"

[Software\\Microsoft\\Internet Explorer]
"Version"="6.0.2900.2180"

[System\\CurrentControlSet\\Services\\msiserver]

_EOF_


Maybe it's already enough to get the install succeed
