I purchased it off capcom's web store.  The nice thing is that you could download straight off their site through your web browser (no additional download programs required).

I tried the reg-edit hack and that unfortunatly didn't work :(
I also upgraded to wine 1.1.1 (through gentoo portage) and tried the reg-edit hack again and still no dice.

So do you think I should try the patch?
