Such a file exists, indeed.
But it does not matter what IP i enter there it won't take effect on the IP that the game returns in the options menu. It seems that the ip is taken from the /etc/hosts file.
I think the game seems to be in two networks. My local lan and the hamachi vpn because my name is written in the list two times.
However, it seems not to work with my game. I might try it with openvpn. Maybe this works better.
