I'm going to try the native versions of DMusic and quartz very soon (as soon as I restart my computer). And sorry to sound like an idiot, but how do you disable PulseAudio. I know the added it in 8.04 but I don't notice a difference between the old mixer and PulseAudio. Thanks for the help so far.
