[Wine] wine gecko page redirect problems

so i play ultima online and in one of hte config files is the link 

patch.uo.com/cgi-bin/patchmsg.pl

unfortunately gecko will open the page that redirects to but will not work with that link it's self i am useing wine 1.1.2 and gecko 0.1.0  

i saw a bug that required swapping out mshtml.dll to get certain pages to show correctly and am wondering if there may be some thing like this i can use as i have tried this and it didn't work at allhello
