[Wine] Wine On OSX

I'm a new user of Wine (Darwine) on Mac OSX and wonder it it's necessary 
for the "Wine Log" to open each time I start up a Win app under Wine.  
The Log never shows any data and I'd just as soon not have to 
continually close it if there's a way to stop it from opening each 
time.  Haven't found anything obvious in Preferences to control this 
behavior.
