I cracked it.

What I forgot, was to install DHE in the new prefix directory.

It really makes sense now, and I am trying to make SwishMax2 run in it's own prefix too. Thanks again for invaluable help.

can I carefully ask you, if you know anything about syncing PDA with WM6.0 to evolution? This seems te be another difficult one, even for commandline tigers.
