Hello all,
nostalgy caught me recently, so I bought GOG version of Earth 2140 (http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/earth_2140_trilogy). I was able to play it once under Wine (the game installed itself, I run it right from installer, played for bunch of hours, then quit).
Since then, every attempt to do so ends like this:
Code:
[dante4d at alpha games]$ WINEPREFIX="/home/dante4d/games/earth_2140" wine "C:\\Earth_2140\\E2140.exe"

The Xlib message is ok, it happens all the time. It did even before, when the game worked. What's weird, the games did run just for the first time. I tried to configure for virtual desktip 800x600, but it also crashes (well, I get only blank screen that dies).
I really want to get this solved, so I can enyoy my $5.99 game again. I'm using wine version 1.1.18-1, running up do date archlinux (pacman -Syu'ed yesterday). My brother can play the game, using wine 0.9.61-1 and arch too (yes, his system is quite outdated :)).
If you can give me a hint, I will provide more info that is needed to solve the issue.
Thanks and regards,
David
