Have you tried messing with the regedit? When I have a black screen on a game I first check wine regedit. in AppDB for EVE they suggest you set the value of these strings to this

[Software\\Wine\\Direct3D]
"DirectDrawRenderer"="opengl"
"MaxFragmentUniforms"="1024"
"MaxVaryings"="52"
"MaxVertexUniforms"="1024"
"OffscreenRenderingMode"="fbo" (if you have graphical glitches with interface, cange it in "Backbuffer" )
"PixelShaderMode"="enabled"
"VertexShaderMode"="hardware"
"VideoMemorySize"="(you videocard memory here)"
