1.1.33 is generally faster than 1.0.1 in my experience, as well as being able to run more software. Of course there are regressions, meaning there might be software that runs in 1.0.1 that won't in 1.1.33. If you find such a regression, please report this in a bug report, using http://wiki.winehq.org/RegressionTesting as a guide.
