Like I said - dcom98 is a hit and miss. It mostly breaks things then fixes them.

Wine uses NT+ features that weren't available in dcom98. Some times it works, some times it doesn't. If you managed to get it working, then repeat the same steps - go through installation, etc without installing dcom.
