I have a similar problem. I had wine running perfectly but after configuring an IPP printer and rebooting wine reports that gdi32.dll failed to initialize. I downloaded an alternate gdi32 and no luck. I also found that there's files like gdi3232.dll, crypt32.dll crypt3232.dll crypt323232.dll etc.
