This problem was reported in Sep 2008, but still seems to be unresolved.
DVD Flick versions up to 1.2.2.1 worked fine with Wine, but none of the
1.3 releases work. I am now using DVD Flick 1.3.0.4 with Wine 1.1.13. DVD
Flick runs okay until you try to add a video file, then freezes.
Console output is pasted below. The point (*) is reached at the point when
the startup banner disappears and the program window opens. The final ALSA
message appears at the point when the program hangs. If I run the command
"sudo modprobe snd_seq" before launching DVD Flick, I do not get the ALSA
error, but it still hangs; thus I suspect none of this output is relevant
to my problem.
Any ideas?
Matthew.
