[Wine] Aiding Wine

Hi, I'm very new to Wine and especially to these forums. But I really like it and would like to aid this program.
So if I want to help Wine, not by donating because I'm not quite on the rich side of society. However, I'd like to help with checking source and writing it. Where should I begin? Who should I contact about this? Are there any developer resources or developer forums?
