> John, to be clear, there is no installer for this application.  It is a relational database we use at the office.  I inherited it a few years back when we bought out a business. It's a custom application.  I'm trying to incorporate Linux into our business and this is an app our staff uses on a daily basis.

What kind of networking does it use? Windows networking (SMB)? Regular
http? Something else?
