sudo apt-get autoclean
sudo apt-get autoremove
sudo apt-get check

Running these consectively should "fix" any package problems that aren't supposed to appear. So try it, if it still won't work something might actually be wrong with your Ubuntu install (unless you tried to get Wine from an external source, in which case you should explain where and how you got it).
