No problem, I have plain wine tries at it also. for the Management
scientist effort when I did an install, the install would complete and
then we would get a:

 Error 339
Grid32.ocx file not found. (this grid32 file is in the management
scientist directory at drive_c/Program Files/Management Scientist/ )

When I try to install NCSS2007 using regular wine I get the following
message:::

The program GLJ56c.tmp has encountered a serious problem and needs to
close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
This can be caused by a problem in the program or a deficiency in Wine.
You may want to check it at appdb.winehq.org for tips about running this
program.
with a close button.

Hmmmm Not good. Ok, lets try some things together here. First of all,
use winetricks to get mfc42 (thanks to Rico). Then copy all of the NCSS
files to a directory in the wine folder just so I am not trying to mess
with a CD. run through the setup again and get the same error
message....... however. Now the screen goes further and asks for a
serial number. Give it mine and the program now opens.

Try to start the program with a dive into the NCSS directory under
drive_c/Program Files/NCSS2007/ and then typing

wine NCSS2007.exe.

NCSS now starts

The praphics on the screen are very very distorted (probalby due to the
hundreds of lines with the following message)

fixme:ole:OLEPictureImpl_Render Not quite correct implementation of
rendering icons...
fixme:ole:OLEPictureImpl_Render Not quite correct implementation of
rendering icons...

but it does run.

Thanks to all for the help (Now to make it so we can actually read the
variable names.)
