Okay, I looked it up and the dri linux module does not support the GL_EXT_paletted_texture so I commented it out in dlls/wined3d/directx.c and recomplied.  Still the same problem.  I'm not sure how you came up with GL_EXT_paletted_texture being a possibility as I don't see any reference to it in the log file.  Any other ideas to try?
