The localhost line should be:

127.0.0.1	localhost  localhost.localdomain
::1		localhost6.localdomain6 localhost6

The second line is only needed if you have IPV6 enabled as well as IPV4
addresses. Localhost is special (it is a loopback in your computer that
is entirely implemented in software) and is recognised by the special IP
address of 127.0.0.1
