Of the two workarounds mentioned in the bug report, setting the screen resolution >166 dpi in winecfg makes the fonts visible, though they're bigger than they should be. You should probably install this to a separate wineprefix so your other apps aren't messed up. (The other workaround, setting the Windows version <win2k, isn't an option because the app requires XP or later.)
