Basically that is no Gert  The windows catch for pulseaudio is in a worse state than pulseaudio support for alsa.

Basically there is no reason to support pulseaudio either OSS out or ALSA out will do the job.

Thinking that all ALSA drivers are also char devices there are a lot of open chances to rip out both OSS and ALSA now.
