I was not really sure that wine was the culprit. And with ...

... that i get http://www.triffids.de/pub/screenshot/mm8-c.jpg :)

Now it is even possible to run the game with
hafi at e675 ~/.wine/drive_c/Programme/mm8 $ wine mm8.exe
without a crash. Fine, very fine. Thanks.
