You will find that most of the time a "beta" version is the best
version to use. The latest "beta" is definitely a good version to try
if you have an application that is not working. The reason for this is
wine is not a finished product meaning the windows api is not
implemented 100%. Newer versions are always more complete than older
versions although they may have added a new bug being that they are
obviously tested for less time..
