[Wine] Lotus Word Pro - Equation Editor - symbol font

I have managed to get everything to work except that the symbol font appears to be transposed for most of the characters in the existing equations in the documents I am attempting to edit. For example, the greek letter pi is replaced with omicron and the integration symbol by a degree symbol. Is there any way to sort this? 
The equation editor is an add on from another company (MacKichan Software - Scientific Notebook).  
I am using Wine 1 (ex Package Manager) on Ubuntu 10.04
