Fixed it. This may have been a temporary problem, as now all games work correctly. It also may have had something to do with installing d3dx9 in winetricks, or a reboot. @danyaeldemonic. You get these by running an applicationtthrough a terminal ex. wine ~/.wine/drive_c/Program\ Files\..... until you get to your exe in Program Files folder.
