[Wine] Did I do it right?

I recently installed wine 1.1.37 on my new suse 11.2 install. I had wine on an earlier suse, 11.2, but did a fresh install when I got a new hdd.

Before I had wine on the menu and shortcuts to some windows apps I installed; now there is nothing on the menu. To be sure, the only thing I have installed with wine is a game which does not work, although it is in my bottle.

Also, I have noticed that dosdevices folder has a drive c: which has everything, at least in program files, that the drive c: folder does. And when I replaced the .exe for the game with a nocd patch, the old .exe was still in the dosdevices program files. Can anyone explain to me why there is a duplicate program files, and does it matter if they are not identical?
