I have N applications (app1, app2, ..., appN)
So I run
WINEPREFIX="$HOME/.app1" wine app1.exe
...
WINEPREFIX="$HOME/.appN" wine appN.exe

But do I have to create the directories ~/.app1, ..., ~/.appN ?
And how can I set different virtual desktop sizes for each one?
