[Wine] Variation on zero memory location allocation problem

Hi, am new to the group.  I'd like to run kedit.exe (mansfield group software) using wine on SuSE 11.2.  Have tried the command line modification, which was accepted but it didn't have any effect.

error: err:dosmem:DOSMEM_MapDosLayout Need full access to the first megabyte for DOS mode

attempted workaround:  sudo /sbin/sysctl vm.mmap_min_addr=0
