[Wine] Running app developed using Visual Studio 2007

Hi friends, 
I use kubuntu karmic OS. 
Installed wine.. and it opens several .exe files without any problem.

I have developed a small 'contact manager' app using C# couple of years ago. It was developed using VS2007. and needs .NET framework 2.0

I wanted to run that app.. 
when i tried to run it through konsole i got message 

> install the Windows version of Mono to run .NET executables


is there no workaround.. or do i 'have' to use mono (it is 70MB :? )
downloading 70MB for 1MB application doesn't sound nice :p
