If your C compiler's library supports popen() and it will allow Linux
programs to be run this way you should be able to read their output from
the popen pipe but you'll most likely get Linux newlines, not DOS CRLF
line terminators. I have no idea whether popen() is part of the standard
library for Windows compilers, though djgpp (a port of the GNU compiler
for DOS) does, so at a guess mingw would too.
