We fake the videocard information since there is no good of way of obtaining all the info we need (which includes the pci id, windows driver version and some more). Some common cards are in our database.

The GPU name is not very important (a few games really care about it typically for hacks or performance presets). The issues you are seeing are likely just driver bugs which prevent you from running most games.
