This is what jumps out at me--that driver is over 2 years old. The current official release is 195.36.08. There's a comment in http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=7585 that reports upgrading from a 169.xx driver to a 185.xx one solved a problem with this game crashing for one user. A bad graphics driver could actually account for all your problems, particularly if everything  you have been trying to install are games. I'd try upgrading.
