[Wine] Half life 2 steam problem

Hi, i played HL2 nonsteam version, dxlevel9 1680x1050 models and textures at high, others on low and it works fine(25+ fps). Now i tried play Steam version of HL2 and when i switch resolution to 1680x1050 it crashes...
I also play Team fortress 2 through Steam and got very low FPS at dxlevel9(I play it with dxlevel 81, 1024x768 windowed, medium settings and it works fine).
I have Ubuntu 9.10 64bit, wine version 1.1.39, graphics drivers 185.18.36
Where is the problem? Is it on Steam?
My specs:
Core2duo e7300 @ 2.66ghz
2gb ram 800mhz
nvidia 8500GT
