Hi again, I appear to have run into difficulty.

There have probably been a couple of wine updates since I last ran the program, I'm on 1.1.40, but I have now started to have issues with it.

Dragon seems to start okay but at various points - mainly when I have done a manual change, the program then seems to freeze, or at least the microphone seems to cease to work. I say "seems" because I can still work the menu from the microphone icon launching for example the options pane. After some 30-40 seconds, the microphone seems to be active again (the icon now showing as active with the little radio wave next to it) and the little box showing what one dictates reappears. Interestingly, it has remembered at least some of the words I said whilst it was "frozen".

Upon issuing a "correct" command the dialog box that appears no longer provides the box into which I can type the correct option (if not suggested by the program) and it's on the required manual edit that these "freezes" take place.

In an attempt to diagnose I have launched DNS from a terminal window - No error messages whilst in operation. I have run winecfg and checked audio. Interestingly it told me no drivers were installed. Selecting alsa effected no change. Selecting OSS made the program on launch run through the training program and the program still worked but in the same way.

I am therefore stumped. Do you have any suggestions as to what changes in recent versions of wine might have caused this?

Thanks

Ian
