[Wine] Installing Dreamfall: The Longest Journey - help needed!

Hi guys,

I'm trying to make this game work following HowTo that I found here:

But after installing it and trying to run the game an error pops out saying "Failed to initialize Direct3D. Aborting." I don't know how to fix this?

I'm using Ubuntu Lucid 10.04 and Wine 1.3.6.

So far I've:
1. Installed the game (from cd)
2. Copied d3dx9_27.dll file to Wine's system32 folder (and to Dreamfall folder)
3. Used regedit (as it was suggested in the aforementioned HowTo) to create a new key "Direct3D" here:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER + 
                         Software + 
                                   Wine + 

After that I didn't know what else to do, but something needs to be done since trying to run the game at this point doesn't work and just gives the "Failed to initialize Direct3D" error. Am I doing this all wrong??

Also, in the most recent reply to this HowTo I've read that these settings should be set using regedit:

"DirectDrawRenderer"="opengl" 
"OffscreenRenderingMode"="fbo" 
"UseGLSL"="enabled" 
"VideoMemorySize"="512" 

But I don't know how to do that? Or does it need to be done at all??
 
I'm new to linux, and having a really hard time figuring these things out by myself. So please help me, I really want this game to work!!
