Symlink means that it just points to the other directory. So you copy something into one, and it would naturally appear in the other one too, since it is actually the same directory.

Symlinking is a technology that is used to point to resources without having to copy or duplicate these resources. So you basically have a link pointing to the exact same location, which can be used without any problems.
