I'm actually at wow 3.2.0, I just ran wow.exe instead of the launcher and it downloaded an update and restarted, and is now downloading a .5gb patch top 3.3.0. The 4.0 patch shows 3.X.X as a prereq but who knows, we'll see if the 3.3 patch helps at all.
