Use a Wine version before a 1.2 RC / revert the relevant patch if you
compile Wine yourself....

Other option is to use GrabIt / a native client like SABNZBd+ but
their features aren't always the same.

http://wine.budgetdedicated.com/archive/ might have worked, but it
doesn't contain old enough versions.
