Thanks for the quick reply. I was wondering how to update wine. The commands I have found include either yum or apt-get neither commands that I have. I have searched and searched how to load them in terminal but to no avail. 

Also you said to install .net instead of Mono. I assume you mean the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Service Pack 2. When I try to install this I get:

Maybe if I could update wine I wouldn't be having these problems??
