This is not the cause of your problem, or should not be.

You should be trying to use 1.3.25, not 1.3.15, there are many fixes
for problems in the ten releases between them.

Can you provide the following:

The game or games you are trying to install/patch.
Linux distribution and version.
The command line you used to run the patcher.
