Backed by Silicon Valley super angels, iSwifter was spun out of YouWeb in December, 2010. We are now focused on building the next version of the iSwifter platform.
 
Responsibilities
 
iSwifter is seeking to significantly expand its engineering team. The ideal candidate will develop server side components that will enable us to efficiently run Windows program using WINE -
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wine_%28software%29 - on Linux servers. The candidate will work with Open Source collaborators and iSwifter partners to stabilize and enhance WINE, get Windows binaries of interest working under WINE/Linux environments and get these programs to execute in an efficient
manner on iSwifter cloud platforms. If working on real-world problems, anticipating future customer requirements and delivering them on an aggressive schedule motivates you, then this job is for you.
 
Requirements
 
- BS in Computer Science with 3+ years industry experience
- Strong experience in C programming and scripting languages, system architecture and
algorithms
- Ability to work with large pieces of code, analyze performance issues and quickly get to the core
issues
- Prior experience in delivering enterprise quality products and a passion for writing high-quality
and well-architected code
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in an fast paced unstructured environment
- Excellent presentation and communications skills combined with the ability to work in a team
environment.
 
Desirable Requirements
 
- Prior experience with WINE or other open source projects
- MS in Computer Science from a top university
