[Wine] WINE hiding in background

I am a beginner trying to use wine to run the pdfXchange program and I cannot get it to be responsive. The program will start up but when I open a pdf file the window moves to the background and becomes unresponsive, but I can see that the pdf was loaded in the window. When I try and clk on it to bring it up the last window used just comes back up.

I am using Ubuntu 10.10 netbook version and wine 1.2.2
