I just unzipped it and ran the installer. I did install to a clean wineprefix, and I also unchecked the option to install the Ask Toolbar. 

When you upgraded, did you reinstall pdfxchange? If you didn't, try reinstalling to a clean wineprefix in 1.3.14.
