Or Fink.  However, what you use, you should 'stick' with it.  As for 
XQuartz, get the Snow Leopard version, not the Leopard version.

BTW, Fink is now up to 1.3.15...(wine-unstable), the use of devel or dev 
has a different meaning for Fink.
