When ProgeCAD starts you will be in the model space. To reproduce the problem click on the Layout1 tab directly above the command line to get to the layout space. Once there you will see on the screen that there is already a rectangle (this is a viewport that has already been placed there for you) left click on this once to select it. When in the properties menu on the left you will see the Misc properties. If you try to change Viewport locked to yes that will cause the runtime error. So far I have found that anything with a drop-down option in the Misc properties causes this.

I have not been having trouble with the lineweight or line color properties so not sure if this solution will work for sure but would like to give it a go. where do i find cc580 in wine tricks? I have had a look but cant seem to find it?

The problem I have with this is knowing what ones i would need to install? there seem to be a heap of different dll options to choose from in wine tricks and not sure how to tell what ones I actually need.

The other day I thought ah, what the heck install them all until I realised how many Gb's i would have to download. It would pretty much be my whole download limit for a month used up in one go.

Thanks heaps for the replies guys, I really appreciate it ProgeCAD is the closest thing I have found to AutoCAD and it actually looks like it should work really well through wine. Plus its less than a 10th of the cost of AutoCAD!!
