[Wine] I can't able to install wine 1.2

I'm getting this error "dpkg: error processing /home/user/Downloads/wine-1.2_rc7-1_i386.deb (--install):

 error in Version string 'rc7-1': version number does not start with digit

 when i try to install wine1.2 
as i'm a newbie to linux i dont what error is this
