I'm on Ubuntu 11.10 and I tried a demo of this game (Polish language version) and it worked. I've tried it on Wine 1.3.36 and compiled from git (wine-1.3.36-172-gb00e703). I didn't need to install anything (clean wineprefix). Sound disappeared completly through the game.
